Salam Sonamani Singh                                                                                                                                             Dt.   01-07-2016

I, an alumnus of JNV,  Bishnupur, got the chance to visit JNV, Canacona, South Goa where  Mr. S. Kannan my Ex. Mathematics(TGT) Teacher is the Principal(PGT Physics).  During my visit and stay, I was given the chance to visit various departments of the Vidyalaya and interact with the students.  I should praise each and every staff of the Vidyalaya for marinating one of the best JNV campuses in the country.  I also observed the well-organized & good academic environment prevails in JNV Canacona.

As I informed the students of the Vidyalaya in the Morning Assembly, I again reiterate that the role of the JNV, Alumni is not only doing well in the chosen field but also the strong willingness to contribute for  good causes of the society and to the JNV, Family in particular. The strength and power of huge number of talented students who pass out from different JNVs each year cannot be ignored.  They  all not only help each other but also become a very good catalyst for bringing changes in the society.

I expect the students of the Vidyalaya to set a clear goal and put hard work to reach the goal.  If any one studies without a goal is just like playing football with no goal posts.  The game becomes dull and directionless once the goal posts are removed from the playground.  However, once the goal posts are set, the play becomes very interesting.  In the same way,  once the goal is clearly set, the students will be highly motivated and start using the best available resources to achieve the goal.  Students should maintain both IQ and EQ (Emotional Quotient) while selecting a career to be more successful and excel in life.

I wish all the students of the Vidyalaya to come up with flying colours and be an asset to our nation.

I take this opportunity to thank Shri. S.Kannan, the Principal of the Vidyalaya and all the staff for the wonderful opportunity given to me.

I was in South Goa form my holiday trip. As I was going to my hotel Lalit Resort on 03.07-16, then I saw board of Navodaya Vidyalaya, Canacona.

I introduced myself to Principal sir Shri S Kannan and told that I am nearby Navodaya and want to visit Navodaya.

Just after check in the hotel, opened the website of JNV South Goa and found the principal’s office contact number and connected on that number. Sir became so happy and asked me to come as soon as possible. Although it was Sunday, I went to Navodaya and met with principal sir. Discussed so many points and then taken lunch in mess.

Principal sir asked to come in morning assembly on the next day and also guide senior class students in classrooms. I did not feel any difference in that Navodaya compare to my passed out Navodaya. I was so happy to get so much response, I gave my consent without any delay.

On 04/07/2016, I was in Navodaya by 7.30 a.m. Principal sir introduced me in morning assembly and then after I addressed the morning assembly and told the students regarding goal setting in life. Also advised them to live their life on Navodaya principles i.e, serve the society in their life.

After assembly a long discussion happened with principal sir regarding alumni contribution towards Navodaya and society, pension issues for Navodaya teaching and non teachjing staffs, current scenario of Navodaya.

Really fruitful discussion. I was really impressed with energy and dedication of Principal sir. I also attended senior class 11 and 12 and counselled them regarding different career options, study techniques, revision techniques and tips for excel in +2 board exam. A very interaction with students.

I also observed a very good culture of admission of class VI students. All students and their parents had been advised to come with two plants during admission and they were supposed to plant the plants in school campus and students have to take care during their school life.

All over it was a very good visit and memorable two days of my Goa journey.

I would like to thank to Principal sir, Shukla sir, all teachers and students to given so much regards and respect to me during my visit.
